A NEW block containing flats and a restaurant will be built in place of public toilets in Hereford.
Planning permission and conservation area consent was granted for the development to be built in Union Street yesterday.
A total of six residential units and a restaurant/café can now be built on the site.
The three-storey building will have a restaurant on the ground floor and six single bedroom homes above.
A new purpose-built toilet block in the Gaol Street Car Park will replace the Union Street facility.
