PERFECT conditions prevailed for Hereford and District Riding Club (H&DRC) at the first show of the season earlier this month.

In addition to the monthly unaffiliated show jumping competitions, H&DRC is running evening show jumping competitions and piloting practice show jumping evenings. These are intended for people and horses to gain experience of a course without the pressure of competition.

Also on the agenda is the H&DRC hunter trials at Hilltop and a clear round pick and mix cross country day at Dulas.

Unaffiliated dressage features in the programme with the Badminton Horse Feeds qualifier and the Midlands Association of Riding Clubs Qualifier.

All competitions are open to non-members at a slightly higher entry fee.

H&DRC takes members from the age of 10 and the subscription is £20.

Members enjoy lower entry to all club competitions, training sessions in all disciplines at club rates and the opportunity to compete at area and BRC National levels. Membership forms and schedules may be downloaded from www.hereford-riding-club.org.uk. For more details contact 01981 570435.
