A HEREFORDSHIRE artist is set to brush up against royalty once more.
Clare Villar, from Yarpole, will present an A1 framed painting to the Princess Royal on Saturday.
The handover will feature an intricate design masterminded by Mrs Villar over the past three months.
It commemorates the tercentenary (300th anniversary) of the King's Royal Hussars and will be handed to the Royal during a ceremony in Tidworth, Wiltshire.
The occasion won't be the first time Mrs Villar has met with the Royal family.
Last year the artist, who specialises in animal portraits, presented Prince Edward with another piece of her artwork, which was commissioned by the Colonel of the Royal Wessex Yeomanry.
Mrs Villar has also been commissioned by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason to paint all his pet dogs, and last year painted rugby player Will Greenwood's dog.
She says she is happy to take on most subject matters, from motorbikes to flowers, although she currently has a four-month waiting list.
