A CLASSROOM at Burlish Park Primary School was ransacked this week – by aliens.

Year five pupils discovered overturned tables and books strewn across the floor when they arrived at the Windermere Way site and investigations revealed extraterrestrials were the culprits.

Miss Mauger, a year five teacher, said:"The break in was a carefully choreographed hoax but with a purpose.

“We are currently studying the space race as part of our history lessons and we wanted to find a way to make the children enthusiastic about space and get them to be desperate for the next space race lesson to come around.”

The students were asked to investigate why the aliens had targeted Burlish Park Primary school.

Using ultra violet lights to detect clues left behind it appeared that the aliens were searching for a missing piece of Sputnik 1, which was found on the school’s fields two years ago.

Miss Ramsden, another year five teacher, added: “The children were very excited to discover that we had been visited by aliens.

“It has really enthused them to discover more about the space race and they cannot wait for the next lesson to learn more.”
