A BEWDLEY choir will be performing at a popular north Worcestershire event.

The Got 2 Sing group, which is based at Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre, will entertain crowds at the Belbroughton Scarecrow Festival on Saturday, September 27.

Beth Dunn, director and founder of Got 2 Sing, said: “We're delighted to be part of such a fabulous event and at the same time it's nice to know that we're helping to raise money for local causes and charities.

“This year we're hoping to make it even more special by spreading some of the Got 2 Sing joy.”

The festival, which sees Belbroughton residents make and display their own scarecrows, attracts thousands of visitors each year and in 2014 the theme is movies’ greatest heroes and villains.

"We are certain that once the crowds hear our wonderful voices we will be the heroes of the day", added Beth Dunn.

Got 2 Sing choirs members from groups in Stourbridge, Wolverhampton and Worcester will join the Bewdley singers and perform in the arena at Belbroughton Recreation Centre at 2.30pm.

Their repertoire will include Motown classics as Higher and Higher and Ain't No Mountain High Enough.

Got 2 Sing's youth choir will also be performing hits from Frozen at 12.30pm.
