A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault in connection with an incident in which a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted as she withdrew money from a cash machine in Hereford.
The woman had withdrawn money from the HSBC bank in High Town at around 2.35am on Saturday when she was grabbed from behind and pulled to the ground.
She managed to get the man off her and call 999.
He ran off through High Town in the direction of Commercial Street.
At 12.45am on Monday a man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault in connection with the incident on Saturday.
This followed reports of a man seen acting suspiciously near a woman using the cash machine at the NatWest bank in Commercial Street.
The suspect is currently on bail pending further inquiries.
Police are asking the woman at the cash machine on Monday, or anyone with information, to call 101.
