BRITAIN IN BLOOM - Judging for this year's national finals took place on July 31. Huge thanks go to all the village for really pulling out all the stops. The village looked at its best despite the rain.
Results will be announced later in the year.
ST MARY'S CHURCH - Needs donations of books, clothing, brica- brac, household goods and toys for the charity shop in High Street, Kington. Items can be collected by calling Gill Smith on 01544 388441 or can be left in the rear of the church. The shop will be open from August 24-30. The proceeds will go to the maintenance of the church and its grounds.
PEMBRIDGE GOOD NEIGHBOUR SCHEME - The next free coffee and company morning will be on August 18 between 10.30am and noon in the village hall.
