A HEREFORD care home has received a glowing report from the regulators of health and social care in England.

Coldwells House provides specialist dementia care for up to 33 elderly people and a Care Quality Commission (CQC) report showed the Holmer centre fully complied with its responibilities in all areas.

Manager Sharon Childs said: “I am thrilled with our recent CQC results.

“We work hard to ensure that life at Coldwells House is a positive experience, focusing on quality of life and dignity.

“The results are testament to the dedication shown by my team in delivering such a consistently high level of care.”

The 19th century home is part of the locally owned Herefordshire Care Homes Group.

During the visit, inspectors spoke with residents, relatives and staff at the home.

A special mention was made in the report of the caring and kind manner in which residents were supported by staff.

“It’s especially nice to get feedback from our residents and to hear that they feel happy and safe here and are pleased with the care we provide,” Sharon said.

“The results reinforce our commitment to ensuring that everyone in our care feels safe, comfortable and well cared for.”
