GARDENING CLUB - The club will be hosting a coffee morning at Stoke Lacy Church this Saturday, from 10am till noon when plants will be on sale.

Anyone wishing to contribute is asked to deliver items to the church by 9am.

WI - In a change to the advertised programme, the WI meeting at Stoke Lacy village hall on June 14 at 7.30pm, will feature Barbara Priest giving a presentation entitled Floral Ideas for Autumn. The competition for the evening will be An Arrangement in Green. The social evening originally scheduled will now be held in September.

FRIENDSHIP CLUB - On June 18 from 10.30 am, (in a change to the original programme), members will be receiving a visit from Mr Hill who will be showing his slides of New Zealand. Members are reminded that, if they would like to have a hot meal after the meeting, they will need to book by calling the WRVS on 01432 267555, preferably no later than the Thursday before each meeting.

Meanwhile, the WRVS (or RVS as it is now renamed) is themselves looking for helpers. If anyone would like to volunteer their services to serve up meals in various places around the county they are asked to call the number shown above.

VILLAGE FETE/ROUNDERS TOURNAMENT - There will be a rounders tournament on June 22, at Stoke House, Stoke Lacy (as part of the Stoke Lacy church fete). Rounders will commence at 4pm with teams competing for the Stoke Lacy Annual Sporting Challenge Trophy.
