PEOPLE in Herefordshire have the lowest blood pressure reading in the UK.
The figures, published by the Stroke Association, follow the charity’s publication of the results of 54,200 blood pressure readings taken across the UK.
High blood pressure is the single biggest risk factor for stroke and the cause of half of all strokes.
The Herefordshire figure was 126/74mmHg. In contrast the figure for Worcestershire was 141/82mmHg while the ideal blood pressure is 120/80mmHg.
