CHILDREN are being encouraged to learn about life-saving skills.
More than 3,000 pupils have received training from the Herefordshire Heartstart scheme since 2011.
Loraine Coleman, Herefordshire Heartstart co-ordinator and project manager, said the British Heart Foundation (BHF) is currently still funding the schools project in Herefordshire and provides the free training for schools staff.
“For new schools joining the scheme,” she added, “the BHF will pay for replacement cover for those staff attending training.”
