LEARN a new skill at the Sidney Nolan Trust by attending one of their popular printing workshops to learn traditional and contemporary methods of making fine art prints.

Aimed at adults, no previous printmaking experience, or indeed great artistic skill, is required. Printmaking is a great leveller: people who think they can’t draw often produce brilliant prints. The workshops will also appeal to people who want to refresh a rusty knowledge of intaglio printmaking or simply develop existing skills. Participants will get most benefit from booking all five sessions, especially if they hope to go on to become a regular printmaker at The Rodd.

The workshops, which run from 10am to 4pm in The Gallery at The Rodd, take place on Saturday, February 21 - Introduction to Intaglio Printmaking; Sunday, March 15: Drypoint Prints – the starting point for Intaglio printmaking; Sunday, March 29 - Collagraph Printmaking - a modern, adaptable printmaking technique; Saturday, April 18 - Intaglio Colour Inking; and Sunday, April 19 - Embossed Prints – stunning results from the etching press without use of any ink.
