THE Apple Store Gallery, now in Rockfield Road, is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary with an exhibition, Fourteen @ Ten, of work by 14 local artists, 11 of whom have been exhibiting at the gallery since it opened in a restored apple store in Brockhampton.

Since then, the gallery has been showing work by local artists in solo and group exhibitions and shows related to local themes such as Hereford Three Choirs Festival, Heritage Orchards, h.Art, Photofest and Forest Open Studios.

"Eleven of our original artists are featured in the current show together with three others who have supported us throughout the ten years by exhibiting work, running workshops, giving artists’ talks and reading their poetry at our Poetry Events," says Marion Campbell, founder of Apple Store Gallery.

The work on show is mostly recent but with a retrospective glance at what the artists were creating in 2005.

The artists featured are: Richard Bavin, Kate Dawson, Doug Eaton, Chris Hall, Stella Hidden, Nicola Hopwood, Sam Hughes, David Laws, Sue Maud, Allison Neal, Angela Palmer, Ursula Prosser, Vivienne Sole and Jane Tudge. The artworks include a range of drawings, paintings, photography, sculpture, stained glass and book arts, with distinctive lino cuts of local landscapes by Ursula Prosser and striking stained glass pieces by Nicola Hopwood, whose work can be seen in many local churches, too.

The exhibition runs until March 1 at the gallery in Rockfield Road. Open Wednesday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm, Saturday, 10am to 1pm and Sunday, 2pm to 5pm. For full details, visit applestoregallery.co.uk
