The saintly location of a medieval church is perhaps not the first venue you might think of for a riotous night of rib tickling comedy… but All Saints Church in Hereford will be shaking with laughter on Saturday, September 15 when Farcical Comedy presents Belly Laughs at Café @ All Saints with a hilarious menu of food and funnies.

The main course features headliner Barbara Nice – "as hilarious as it is possible to get " declared The Scotsman, of this comedian familiar from Channel 4's That Peter Kay Thing and Phoenix Nights. The comedy creation of Janice Connolly, no audience is too rowdy for Mrs Barbara Nice to handle (she's already raised five teenagers). With the affectionate attitude of a playgroup leader at a wild Iggy Pop concert, Barbara is guaranteed to warm the heart of any audience. Side dishes include Marti and Alf, washed down with Hereford’s home brewed James Ryan.

Mart is a German stand-up with a nervous facial twitch, telling funny stories from his day-to-day life, mocking British local customs, language and habits. His naïve observational content with some wordplay and storytelling aim to give this act broad and entertaining appeal.

Alf is a comedian with a very fast-growing reputation, supremely talented as a one liner/musical prop comic from North Devon. He recently gained four yes votes on this year’s Britain’s Got Talent after having made it through to the prestigious final of the ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ competition at Edinburgh as well as winning the ‘Stand Up for Cider’ competition in Taunton.

MC for the Evening is Hereford’s well-known James Ryan.

A pre-show supper will be served from 6pm in the award-winning Cafe@AllSaints. Proceeds from the event will support All Saints Church, with tickets available online at www.cafeatallsaints.co.uk/event/
