Not to be defeated by the weather, which stopped her performance at Llanwarne, there are now two further chances to catch the inspiring, award-winning singer, songwriter and composer Louise Jordan, performing self-penned songs inspired by historical stories of women in the First World War.

No Petticoats Here tells the stories of inspirational women who lived during WW1 and challenged expectations. From the woman who dressed as a soldier on the Western Front to the women football players banned by the FA, the ambulance drivers running the gauntlet of enemy fire in Flanders and the so-called ‘surplus million’ single women, Louise acknowledges and celebrates inspirational women, working in a time of conflict and leaving a legacy for future generations. The show is suitable for age 12+

As well as a rescheduled performance at Llanwarne Village Hall (01981 540406) on Sunday, June 3 at 7.30pm, there’s also an extra opportunity to catch No Petticoats Here at Chapel Lawn Village Hall (01547 530258/07780 728812) on Saturday, June 2 at 7.30pm.
