Children’s theatre company, Lyngo return to The Courtyard next week to tell the story of Tom Thumb.

One night tiny Tom overhears Mum and Dad talking – there’s nothing left to eat so they are going to leave him and his six brothers in the forest! Outwitting his parents and the ogre, Tom shows everybody that even though he is small he is still mighty as he protects his brothers, finds the treasure and makes sure they’ll never be hungry again.

CBeebies’ Patrick Lynch, brings this classic story to life in a playful and fascinating show which is performed entirely on and under a kitchen table. Suitable for children aged three and above, this show is full of Lyngo magic with feathery spinning birds, a flying house and a portable forest. Tom Thumb has been Lyngo’s most successful piece and to mark 15 years of activity, Lyngo have brought back their very first show which has been revamped and specially adapted for a younger audience.

Tom Thumb is presented as part of Courtyard Family Saturdays and families can take part in a free pre-activity from 10.30am to make their own thumb puppet to take into the show.

Tom Thumb will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Saturday, April 14 at 11am. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk.
