On Sunday, July 30, Friends of Castle Green will host its annual outdoor theatre production on Redcliffe Gardens as Illyria present their hilarious production of The Emperor's New Clothes by Hans Christian Andersen.

The Emperor is a lovely man, but he’s not the best judge of character, and is often surrounded by idiots. What keeps him sane is the monthly Grand Parade at which he wears his newest outfit. When two swindlers spin a yarn and everyone is taken in, what price will he have to pay? Will the new clothes they make really enable him to weed out the idiots in his palace? Or will he end up losing his crown jewels?

The Emperor's New Clothes will be presented on Redcliffe Gardens on Sunday, July 30 at 5pm. To book, visit illyria.uk.com (booking fee applies) or purchase from Fodder in Church Street (cash/ cheque only). Tickets will also be available on the gate.

Gates open at 4.30pm, bring your own seating and warm clothes. Food and drink will be available to purchase from Friends of Castle Green, all profits to Friends of Castle Green
