THE chance to witness one of the most miraculous silver screen celebrations of the spirit of Christmas on the big screen is upon us once again!
Now something of a Christmas tradition at Rhyl's Little Theatre, It's a Wonderful Life returns courtesy of the incredible Wicked Cinema on Sunday, December 22.
Featuring one of the most unforgettable performances from the always engaging, drawling everyman Jimmy Stewart, the film occupies a very special place in the hearts of cinephiles and and festive merrymakers alike.
In accordance with them consistent themes throughout the seminal early director Frank Capra's body of work - which includes the must see Mr Smith Goes to Washington - It's a Wonderful Life explores the idea sacrifice and basic goodness through a frosted, festive lens. Unbelievably, this Christmas gem performed poorly upon release.
Stewart stars as the beleaguered George Bailey, who upon contemplating suicide is visited by Clarence Odbody, Angel 2nd class, who is on a mission to show George the value of his good deeds on his hometown and the people he loves - as well as what would happen if he had never been born.
The ultimate heart warming tale for the increasingly cold nights screens at the Little Theatre on Sunday, December 22 at 2.30.
Admission is £3, with mince pies and mulled wine available at the venue for £2.
