A night of swing and dance music awaits audiences at The Courtyard as the Pasadena Roof Orchestra take to the stage.

For more than forty years the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, which is based in the UK, has delighted audiences all over the world with its mix of swing and hot dance music. The orchestra will perform pieces such as Puttin on the Ritz, Sweet Georgia Brown, The Lullaby of Broadway as well as hot numbers from the twenties including Duke Ellingtons’ Black and Tan Fantasy.

The reputation of the orchestra is as legendary in its own right, as are the bands from the 1920s and 1930s that inspired it. The orchestra performs year-round, with a line-up of eleven excellent jazz musicians who have perfected their craft and studied jazz at the top conservatories. Many years of working together and top class arrangements have resulted in the ensemble sound for which the orchestra is renowned.

The Courtyard Café Bar will be getting into the swing of the evening by presenting a special drinks menu for the evening and customers dressed in 1920s style clothing will get a discount on cocktails.

Pasadena Roof Orchestra will be at The Courtyard on Thursday, May 31 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
