Sheelanagig will perform a selection of traditional and original European folk music at The Courtyard this May.
The quintet have been a West Country institution for the past decade and have put both groove and stomp into a selection of folk music dating from the medieval times to present day. With a well-stocked armoury of stringed instruments including guitar, fiddle and double bass they are known for getting a party started.
2018 sees an exciting brand new line up for Sheelanagig including flautist Luke Phillips-Griffiths fresh from the Newcastle Folk Music circuit, and Alex Bishop – acclaimed folk guitarist and luthier, who both bring an exciting new direction and energy to the groups much loved sound.
Their impeccable technique raises the roof everywhere they play and audiences can expect fun, a lot of laughs and some great music.
Sheelanagig will be at The Courtyard on Friday, May 25 at 7.45pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
