The KoJo Project, keyboard/vocalist and award-winning songwriter Kate Ockenden, and her husband, versatile six-string bassist Geoff Ockenden, have a proven track record of entertaining audiences together with many different artists including The Real Thing, Chaka Khan, Womack & Womack, The Average White Band, and as full-time rhythm section players for BGT finalist Julian Smith.
Kate and Geoff are also current media composers and radio producers for Children's BBC (CBeebies, CBBC) part-time music lecturers for the University of Worcester, regular contributors to established music journal Sound on Sound, and parents to two young children. Their high-energy approach to life carries through to the stage, where they promise to deliver a fun performance full of tight funky grooves and excellent musicianship alongside young virtuoso drummer and music publisher Tony Robinson (drums) and brilliant UK session player Chris ‘Beebe’ Aldridge (sax).
On Saturday, they will be playing at Garway Village Hall for Garway Live! Tickets £8, 12-18 £5 and Family £25. For further details and to book, visit garwaylive.com or email bookings@garwaylive.com
