A touching story of a boy meeting his disabled sister for the first time will be part of Courtyard Family Saturdays in June.

Perfect features stunning puppetry, original live music and physical theatre as a young boy waits for the birth of his baby sister. He can’t wait to tell her all about the swifts which nest not far from the top window of their pointy house. It’s nearly time, she’s nearly here.

Perfect is an innovative adaptation of the beautiful illustrated book written by Nicola Davies and illustrated Cathy Fisher. It is a remarkable story of anticipation and disappointment, acceptance and love, and the power of nature in all our lives. Presented by the award-winning Tessa Bide, it features stunning animations inspired by the book’s illustrations, two talented performers and an original score, composed by Matt Huxley.

Perfect will be part of Courtyard Family Saturdays and families are invited to take part in a free pre-show activity from 10.30am to make a paper bird puppet.

Courtyard Family Saturdays is supported by Hereford Cathedral School.

Perfect will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Saturday, June 16 at 11am. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
