Carmina, who began their career in Bristol in the 1990s, return to Part-y-Seal in Grosmont for a Midsummer Garden Concert.
Since their early days, they have toured all over the world and recorded six albums, two of which were produced by the highly-respected Irish musician Donal Lunny.
This concert will feature Carmina's unique and celebrated presentation of Celtic-inspired themes and jazz improvisation, woven together in powerful original songs - together with their own, at times surprising, arrangements of carefully chosen covers.
Carmina's garden concert is at a very special venue - Part-y-Seal house dates from the 16th Century and offers a beautiful concert setting. It is renowned also for its extensive organic kitchen-garden, and the ticket price includes a buffet which will include both savoury and sweet dishes.
Musicians appearing: are Pippa Marland (vocals, saxes, whistles) and Rob King (acoustic guitar, bodhran), Geoff Castle (piano, synth, vocals), Paul Bradley (guitars, vocals) and Nick Kacal (double bass). 'Powerful and spiritually uplifting' - The Guardian
Bar from 6.30pm. Music begins at 7pm. To reserve tickets, email: partyseal@hotmail.com or call 01981 240814
