JUNE sees a new date for the local foodie calendar as the first Yarkhill Field to Fork Festival takes place to celebrate local food and drink.
Aiming to engage and educate consumers on the provenance of food, the importance of buying local and growing and production methods, the Festival will showcase a variety of local produce, from cakes to wine and sweets to strawberries.
Activities taking place throughout the day will make it a fun day out for all the family, including cooking demonstrations from renowned local chefs, meet the producers, competitions, children's activities and tasting opportunities.
Yarkhill Food to Ford festival takes place on Saturday, June 7, 11am to 8pm in the field opposite Yarkhill church. All profits will be split between The Haven Breast Cancer Support Charity and Yarkhill community projects. Visit yarkhillfieldtofork.co.uk for more information.
