THROUGHOUT December there’s a feast of Christmas fairs and events across the county, offering great opportunities to buy locally produced food and drink for the festivities.
The more we buy locally, the more we support local families and businesses, so before you click your mouse to order presents online, why not attend a local event and buy a locally produced gift.
Leominster Victorian Christmas Fair on Saturday features about 100 traders, dressed in traditional Victorian dress, line Corn Square and Broad Street, selling a wide range of crafts and gifts as well as local and seasonal produce.
At the heart of the event in Corn Square is the Farmers’ Market where more than 20 local food and drink producers will tempt you with tastings and samples and lots of Christmas cheer.
There is also street entertainment including Morris dancing, a brass band, barrel organ, children's roundabout and much more.
There are plenty of additional Farmers’ Markets across the county this month.
Hereford Farmers’ Market: Thursdays 6, 13 and 20
Ross-on-Wye Farmers’ Market: Fridays 7 and 21
Leominster Farmers’ Market: Saturdays 8 and 22
