ROGER Field, author of Rogue Male – the untold story of one of the most lethal and successful soldiers of the Second World War – will be in Waterstones in Hereford on Saturday to sign copies of the book.
A highly decorated hero as well as a selfconfessed rogue, Geoffrey Gordon-Creed DSO MC won the Military Cross on his very first day in action, and fought alongside the SAS in its early days.
To the men with whom he fought he was “Saint Geoff”, to his enemies he was the devil incarnate, who would stop at absolutely nothing.
