THE first of three writing workshops for young people takes place on Sunday, January 19 in Glasbury Village Hall.
The writing course - there will be two further workshops on Sundays, February 16 and April 6 - is run by Glasbury's bestselling children's author, winner of the Guardian Prize for Children's Fiction for her first novel, Finding Violet Park.
At the end of the course, participants will bring together all the skills and techniques they've leanred in a writing competition.
