Following the success of their recent production of One Man Two Guvnors at The Courtyard, Here To There Productions return with an award-winning one-act drama, The Mother, which opens tonight, Thursday October 9 and runs until Saturday. The play, written by Florian Zeller, is a powerfully intimate story about a mother’s struggle to cope with her only son’s bid for freedom…and how things aren’t always as they seem in our own heads.

Director Mark Topping says: "This play, which won the Moliere award, is incredibly suited to the intimate setting of the Courtyard’s Studio theatre, and the audience will feel every emotion through powerful performances by the cast. And whilst it’s a compelling drama, I can promise there is humour scattered throughout!"

Here To There’s Producer, Andrew Whittle added: "Incredibly, this will be our 30th production in a seven-year history of bringing high quality theatre to audiences in Herefordshire and across the West Midlands, and The Mother is yet another star production for people to enjoy, as well as supporting live theatre in our region.

The Mother will be in The Courtyard Studio Theatre, Hereford from today, October 9 to Saturday, October 12 at 7.30pm with a matinee performance on Saturday at 2.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk, where you will also find a trailer for the play.
