Tickets go on sale today for 2Faced Dance Company's festive, theatrical dining experience - an unmissable Christmas party, in the heart of Herefordshire in December.

The Box of Delights, an adaptation of the original text by Herefordshire Poet Laureate John Masefield, will take audiences on a magical journey of wonder and delight, with performances taking place from Tuesday, December 17 to Monday, December 23

The Box of Delights, one of the signature events in 2Faced Dance Company’s 20th Anniversary Year, will delight audiences of 18+ with astounding dance, circus, theatre and a feast of Herefordshire excellence.

Celebrating Herefordshire culture, food and drink, The Box of Delights will bring together some of the county’s leading experts in their field. With co-direction from 2Faced Dance Company’s artistic director Tamsin Fitzgerald and Tim Evans artistic director of Powerhouse, the production boasts a cast of more than 20 performers including professional dancers, actors and performers. Evans, who has a rich background in writing for theatre, radio and television, including BBC, ITV and Radio 4, is also the writer of the production, an adaptation of the original text by the Ledbury-born author.

“The Box of Delights will be a truly transformative experience that puts Herefordshire at the heart of the production; as performers, creative team and audience members," says Tamsin Fitzgerald. "Mysterious, thrilling, magical and delicious the event will bring together some of the very best culture and cuisine that our wonderful county has to offer. Working alongside the new culinary team at The Green Dragon, audiences will enjoy a sumptuous menu using ingredients taken from and inspired the book; allowing for a stunning sensory experience. It is set to be the party of the year and with such an incredible team making it all possible I would encourage early booking to ensure you don’t miss out!”

The creative team will also feature Carl Davies as set and costume designer, James Mackenzie as lighting designer and Anthony Murphy (The Beefy Boys) as composer.

The audience will begin their journey at a secret location where the story will start to unravel. They will then be led to their final destination, the newly refurbished Green Dragon Hotel, where they will be served a delicious three-course feast, created by Executive Chef Simon Bolsover and his team of culinary experts.

"The Green Dragon Hotel is proud to be working in partnership with the 2Faced Dance Company and we are looking forward to hosting this exciting festive experience at the hotel," adds managing director of The Green Dragon, Julian Vaughan.

The menu for the event will be announced in early October.
