Herefordshire Organists' Society presents its Annual Recital in Hereford Cathedral on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26, at 11.30am.

This year's recitalist is Jonathan Scott, resident organist of the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester and he returns by popular request after his tremendous recital in Hereford three years ago. His programme shows off every nuance of sound from the mighty Father Willis in the cathedral and includes original music by Bach and Dupre, his own arrangement of Rossini's Overture to the Thieving Magpie, finishing with Jonathan's latest transcription, that of the famous Finale from Saint-Saens "Organ" Symphony.

In collaboration with his brother, Tom Scott, Jonathan has released several recordings to great critical acclaim as the Scott Brothers Duo, recordings that have received wide international airplay, including their own special editions of BBC Radio 2's The Organist Entertains.

Admission is free with a retiring collection in aid of both the Cathedral and the Organists' Society.
