Situation and Description

Orchard Lodge is situated in the small rural hamlet of Urdimarsh, which lies a short distance from the well-serviced north Herefordshire village of Marden. The property s rural setting, coupled with the large gardens of half an acre, make it ideal for keen gardeners, someone wishing to keep a few animals or just space for the family to enjoy outdoor living. The property is approached off a small country lane and a sweeping gravel driveway leads down to the property with space for a number of cars. On the opposite side of the driveway is an excellent timber built stable with adjoining studio (16ft x 9ft 5) benefitting from double-glazed opening doors, window to one side, wood effect flooring, light and power. The property stands in the centre of its plot and the gardens sweep around and are laid principally to lawn with a number of mature trees. To one side of the bungalow is an excellent brick and timber greenhouse, ideal for any budding Monty Dons!

Internally the very spacious accommodation is well laid out. A large entrance porch gives access to a sitting room with central wood burning stove which in turn leads through to a kitchen/breakfast room with a modern fitted kitchen and integrated appliances such as double oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. This is supported by a large utility room. Off the sitting room, an inner hallway leads to the three large bedrooms. One enjoys an en suite shower room with the largest bedroom having his and hers built-in wardrobes. These are also supported by a family bathroom.

Urdimarsh is a small hamlet which lies within easy reach of the well-serviced north Herefordshire village of Marden. The village has a host of amenities including primary school, village stores with post office, public house and a range of other shops. The greater centres of Hereford (to the south) and Leominster (to the north) are within easy reach.

From Hereford, proceed north on the A49 towards Leominster. Continue on this road until reaching the village of Moreton on Lugg. Proceed into the centre of the village, turning left at Orchard Green and proceed along this country lane, passing the village public house on the right and eventually leave Marden into countryside. After approximately half a mile, take the first turning right to Urdimarsh. Continue on this country lane until reaching a small collection of houses that form Urdimarsh. Orchard Lodge is the second property on the left-hand side.
