HEAD teacher at Lady Hawkins School in Kington, Gary House, said extending the sixth form curriculum to include BTECs alongside A Levels - and supporting students with school ipads – had seen “exceptional results”.

Natasha Davies - A* – applied science; A* – health and social care; B – History.
Georgina Roberts - A*A* health and social care, CE in applied science.
Chloe Brown - AA applied science and B in history.
George Morris – AA applied science.
Kelly Bowen - AA applied science.
Ben Woolley - AA applied science.
Harriet Evans - AC applied science Year 12 students taking AS levels as a maker for A level success gained similarly excellent results: Hannah Allaway - A in French, A in history, A in maths and C in Photography; Callum Haydon - A in chemistry, A in maths, A in physics and C in French; Isabel Pyle - A in English literature, A in French, A in history and C in maths Mr House said the results reflected applied subjects like forensic science catching the students imagination and motivating them to succeed.
Mr Kay said the scores showed “every one of our students” had achieved the grades needed for their chosen career paths.
