PUPILS at a North Herefordshire school can now stay fit whatever the weather thanks to a new indoor climbing frame.

Purchased by the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust, the fold away climbing frame at Pembridge CE Primary School, includes several angled and straight ladders, brightly coloured fixed rings and four swivel rings which can be adjusted into three different positions for a fresh test.

In addition to its successful application for £2,000 from the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust, the school’s PTFA also raised further funds through a number of events including school discos and coffee mornings.

Robert Hollis, head teacher of Pembridge CE Primary School, said: "We were delighted to have received this funding from the Community Trust. The new equipment gives our children a fun and safe space to improve their health and fitness and to develop balance, co-ordination and other essential life skills."

The Kingspan Insulation Community Trust provides funding to projects within the catchment areas of Wigmore High School, Lady Hawkins’ School, Earl Mortimer College and Tenbury High School in Herefordshire & Worcestershire.
