Since opening its doors over four years ago, Bluebird Care Herefordshire has offered a realistic alternative to residential care, supporting people to stay in their own homes. This care is directed particularly to people living in the rural areas of the county who often struggle to receive the level of care they require. This can involve one or more visits a day in order to help with the everyday tasks of life. However, their service doesn’t stop there because longer duration visits are also available, which can include overnight help and a full time live-in care service.

Care staff are carefully selected because they have a passion for delivering the highest standards of care to customers in their own home.

Hazel Godsall, Director, said

“As well as providing care & support to people living in their own homes, Bluebird Care is passionate about delivering the highest standards of training to enable their staff to support people with a range of conditions. We encourage our staff to study for further qualifications.

We also recruit staff who wish to support us in community events and activities that benefit others. Much of this work involves supporting older people who, without regular coffee mornings, day-trips or lunch clubs, would be left isolated at home.”

Care Manager Sue Troelsen said:

"We are thrilled to be given the opportunity once again to support the Hereford Times Health & Social Care Awards. We wish all our colleagues success across the county and hope they receive the recognition they truly deserve."
