Launching the awards are Hereford Times editor John Wilson with Debra Orr (left), head of media sales and Newsquest events director Sue Griffiths.
We owe so much to the people in Herefordshire who care for us.
Whether it is health professionals such as doctors and nurses, or those who look after disabled or elderly people; they all deserve our heartfelt thanks.
That is why we are launching the first Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards.
They will recognise the hard work, dedication, innovation and care delivered across the sector in the county.
In the run-up to our big, glitzy awards night we will focus on people and their stories and be showcasing the nominees in the Hereford Times.
So we would like to hear your recommendations of those we should feature.
We welcome nominations from individuals, as well as public and private organisations about the health and social care professionals who make such a difference to the lives of so many.
All nominations are accepted on the basis that both the nominee and the person making the nomination may be named in advance publicity for the awards in print, online and on social media.
Pictures of the nominee may be used, and the reasons for their nomination may be quoted.
Nominations are now closed.
