NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A49 Trunk Road between Holmer and Hope Under Dinmore in the District of the County of Herefordshire to allow work to install a pedestrian crossing and resurfacing to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to, at different times, -
(1) impose a 40 miles per hour speed restriction on the A49 between its roundabout junction with the A4103, at Holmer, and its junction with the A417, at Hope Under Dinmore;

(2) impose a 10 miles per hour speed restriction on the length of A49 described in (1) above when signs indicating convoy working are displayed;

(3) close the length of A49 described in (1) above;

(4) close the gap in the central reservation of the A49 opposite its junction with the unnamed road leading to Wellington;

(5) close any layby adjacent to the length of A49 described in (1) above; and

(6) prohibit vehicles from entering or leaving the length of A49 described in (1) above, at its junction with any side road.

The work will be carried out over night between 18:30 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 17 July 2017 and continue for eighteen nights. The speed restrictions, gap closure, layby closures and side road prohibition will be in operation from 0:01 hours on 17 July 2017 and continue for 24 hours per day for the duration of the works. The Order will come into force on 10 July 2017. Vehicles being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes will be exempt from the speed restrictions, closures and prohibition. Vehicles being used for special forces purposes will be exempt from the speed restrictions and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from closures and prohibition.
