NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U80332, Blackfriars Street, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the east bound lane of the U80332, Blackfriars Street, Hereford, outside the Premier hotel to the junction of Widemarsh Street. Grid Ref: 351007 / 240369. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is for HGVs:- via the A49 onto the A465 Link Road onto Widemarsh Street. For Local traffic:- via Merton Meadow onto the A465 Link Road onto Widemarsh Street.
The said closure is required due to remedial kerbing and reinstatement renewal works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 13th of February 2021 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 week.
