OF THE MINERALS LOCAL PLAN

Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 Notice of submission under Sections 20(1) and 20(3) Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations2012 (asamended) Notice ofSubmission under Regulation 22 Notice is given in accordance with the above Act and Regulations that Worcestershire County Council has submitted the Publication Version of the Minerals Local Plan to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for independent examination. The Plan and supporting documents were submitted on 17 December 2019. The Secretary of State has appointed the Planning Inspectors Elizabeth Ord LLB (Hons) LLM MA DipTUS and Beverley Wilders BA (Hons) PgDurp MRTPI to assess the 'soundness' and legal compliance of the plan.

The submitted Plan and supporting documents are available on Worcestershire CountyCouncil's website at

WORCESTERSHIRE MINERALS SITE ALLOCATIONS

DEVELOPMENT PLAN DOCUMENT: CALL FOR SITES Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 and the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations2012 (asamended) Notice ofStatutory Consultation under Regulation 18

Worcestershire County Council is preparing a Mineral Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD). Once completed, the DPD will allocate specific sites and preferred areas for mineral development to support the delivery of the Minerals Local Plan and provide greater certainty about where mineral developmentwill take place. Itwill be used alongside the Minerals Local Plan to determine planning applications.

This call for sites is an opportunity to promote potential sites for mineral extraction, processing or supporting infrastructure for consideration in the preparation ofthe Minerals Site Allocations DPD. There will be an opportunity to comment on the draft Mineral Site Allocations DPD, including the proposed sites, once the sites have been assessed andthedocumenthasbeen drafted.Thisisanticipated to be in late 2020 in line with the timetable set out in the adopted Local Development Scheme

How to promote a site:

To promote a site the following information must be provided: Grid reference of the site, site boundary on an OS base, robust evidence of the quality, quantity and type of mineral resources, and evidence of landowner and operator support. It is also useful to provide details of the expected life ofthe site and an indication ofwhen proposals are likely to come forward.

Any sites previously promoted through the formal call for sites process will continue to be considered unless the promoter requests otherwise.
