Major Rtd. Thomas (Tommy) James Turtle BEM

TURTLE Major Rtd. Thomas (Tommy) James BEM Passed away at home with his family by his side on 29th December 2020, aged 70 years. Dearly loved husband to Sue. Father to James and Thomas. Grandpa to William, Freddie, Archie and Matilda. Brother to Rose, Michael, Harry and Kieran. Sadly, a private funeral because of the current restrictions to be held at St. James' Church on Friday 15th January 2021 followed by cremation at 2.15 pm. Friends wishing to say farewell could gather socially distanced outside at Hereford Crematorium. Family flowers only. Any donations in his memory for Cancer Research UK. I met Tommy upon his arrival in Hereford in 1977 and have been honoured and privileged to have been his long-standing friend / neighbour and military colleague. Tommy was a truly inspirational man; a popular and a well-respected soldier.
My sincerest condolences to Sue, Thomas and James and all their families.

My dear Sue and family,

I was so so sorry and upset to hear of Tommy's passing. He was a star to me, a fantastic mentor and I was very proud to have served with him. He will never be forgotten. I know Midleton is in shock.

Dear Sue, Thomas and James please accept my deepest condolences and sympathy at this very sad time. I have always been so proud to have known Tom and think of him as a friend.
He will be sorely missed by everyone who ever knew him.
