First met Peter many years ago when I helped Jim Williams and Stella Gale in and around 1965. A lot of changes around the village since. My father worked at Burgoynes for many years (the late Dennis Handley) and sometimes I would go to the Three Counties when taking it down. At 16 I started with WB & AD Morgan and got to know all the Burgoyne family. I worked on re-wiring most of the houses and farm building and also repairs at the yard. Always a nice family to work for, hard but fare. I used to see Peter in Kington or see his car with the LUCS number on. When I started in the electrical trade with Morgans I got to know Price, Fred,Reg, Peter, Andrew and David Burgoyne . My grandad Wilf Morgan was a carpenter on Burgoynes many years ago. I shall always remember him when Keith wired a , if I am correct a downstairs toilet. The phone call from Peter the following morning was pull switched not fixed and had come off ceiling. When Keith arrived you said Peter had used the pull switch cord to lift him of toilet. Can you remember that, I bet you can. It was a very nice funeral and he was well liked by the people who attended . My name is Michael Handley.
