A FAMOUS Herefordshire born musician has praised a festival held in the county after a heartfelt gesture from the organisers.
220 Kid, who has been championed by BBC Music Introducing in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, grew up in Weobley and played his first gigs in the county, will be at Discotek: Into the Woods in July.
The music star, whose real name is William Graydon, topped the UK singles chart last year with sea shanty track Wellerman, produced alongside Billen Ted for former Scottish postman and social media star Nathan Evans.

Last year he played at the festival in Bartestree during its return after Covid, and this year he will be playing again.
But this time 220 Kid will be raising money for St Michael's Hospice, in Bartestree, who are caring for his mum, he said.
He has taken to Instagram to show his support for the festival, run by Ross Powell, Tom Howell, and Mart Wyndsor.

“One of the best festivals I have played, and the brilliant lads are donating my fee through a proportion of ticket sales to the local St Michaels hospice, which is a cause close to my heart as they have provided my mum with wonderful care,” he said.
“Get your tickets now they’ve got huge plans for this year and it’s just the absolute best vibe and line up,” he said.
