Huddersfield have confirmed the signing of Australian full-back Brett Hodgson on a two-year deal from Wests Tigers.
The 30-year-old, who was a member of the Tigers' 2005 Grand Final-winning team, has made 212 appearances in the NRL and played six times for New South Wales.
"Brett's pedigree speaks for itself, an NRL Grand Final winner and State of the Origin full-back, and we are delighted to have him on board from next season," said Giants coach Jon Sharp.
"He will add great experience and consistency to the squad, and he is a very exciting signing for Super League XIV."
The former Parramatta player, who is in his 12th season in the NRL, will join four other former Wests Tigers players at the Galpharm Stadium in John Skandalis, Jamahl Lolesi, Shane Elford and Paul Whatuira.
"I've still got over half a season left at the Tigers, but I'm already really excited about testing myself in the English game," said Hodgson.
"My dream next year is to come here and make a real difference to the side - that's what it's all about.
"I may be 30 now but I still feel as if I've got at least three or four good years left in me, never mind the two I'll have at the Giants.
"My body feels young, I'm in great shape and believe I'm in some of the form of my life."
