Sale Sharks have announced the signing of wing David Doherty from their Guinness Premiership rivals Wasps on a two-year contract.
The 21-year-old Leeds-born speedster joined Wasps from Leeds last summer and has won England honours at under-19 and under-20 levels.
Sharks rugby director Philippe Saint-Andre said: "I am pleased that David is joining Sale Sharks. He is a young player with plenty of potential."
He added: "He made his mark at Leeds, and he has played in some big games for Wasps this season.
"I am sure he will fit in with us at Sale, and we look forward to his arrival at pre-season training."
