Michael Fassbender has revealed he is off the market.

The 35-year-old actor confirmed he is dating Nicole Beharie, who he met on the set of Steve McQueen's Bafta-nominated drama Shame.

"I'm seeing Nicole, we're trying to see each other as often as possible," he told US GQ.

The pair, who were photographed together in New York, starred opposite each other in Shame, where Michael played sex addict Brandon and the 27-year-old actress portrayed a co-worker he has a crush on.

The award-winning actor revealed that he kept up his professional standards on set.

"Nothing happened while we were filming. We started talking more on the promotion thing. So, yeah, it just sort of unfolded like that," he said.

Michael, who was linked to X-Men: First Class colleague Zoe Kravitz last year, admitted the long distance relationship takes some work.

"That's kind of difficult when she lives [in New York] and I live in England," he added.
