Child actor Nathan Gamble has revealed he almost became a cookie monster while filming the new Stephen King horror film.
The 10-year-old stars in The Mist - based on King's novella and scripted and directed by Frank Darabont - about a group of people in a small town who hole-up in a grocery store to escape a group of blood-thirsty monsters.
Nathan revealed: "On the set, you know this made-up grocery store, it was sort of exhausting because there are no windows, everybody is in there, so crowded and claustrophobic. I was like, if I go down that sugar aisle I swear I am gonna rip up that cookie jar and just eat all the cookies inside.
"You know it's exhausting after a while being on the set."
His co-star Laurie Holden added: "But it was great because it fuelled us because as actors we were in a very contained environment working six days a week, not being able to leave, no air, feeling a little stir crazy and our characters were going through this journey as well so it really kinda fuelled the given circumstances and what we had to play."
The Mist also stars Marcia Gay Harden and Andre Braugher.
