Coventry Sphinx 1 Westfields 2.
A SUPERB strike from Jamie Cuss helped Westfields to their second Midland Alliance away win of the season.
Fields made a fine start but had to wait until the 27th minute to take the lead.
Cuss sent Carl Morgan away on the right and the winger’s cross was headed into his own net by James Ritson.
Good work by Sam Gwynne, Morgan and Aidan Thomas then set up a chance for Cuss to double the lead before the interval with an excellent left-foot shot.
A fine save by Jamie Moore and a goal-line clearance by Joel Edwards preserved the lead in the second period but Westfields had chances, too, in an end-toend 45 minutes.
Steve Barrett pulled one back with a fine solo goal but the city side held on for their win.
