TWO goals in the dying minutes gave Westfields a dramatic first Midland Alliance away win of the season.

Trailing to Adam Hill’s 88th-minute strike, Westfields then looked set for defeat.

But Aidan Thomas raced on to a Craig Jones pass to tie the scores in the final minute.

And, deep into stoppage time, Jones ghosted in behind the home defence to head home a Will Loughman free-kick to earn a famous win.

The evening had started well for the city side with Scott Jackson heading in a Jones corner with only four minutes played.

Ashley Edwards quickly levelled for the home side, but Jones and Richard Kear both had good chances to restore the lead before Loughman linked well with Wayne McNeil to give Westfields an interval advantage.

Fine keeping from Jon Pugh kept Fields ahead until the 75th minute when Kyle Brady headed home a freekick.

And when Hill reacted first to put the home side ahead two minutes from the end after Pugh could only palm away his fierce drive, it seemed as if the points were lost until the late Westfields goal-flurry.
