WESTFIELDS bounced back from two straight Midland Alliance defeats to secure a double over their Leicestershire visitors.
Adam Newbury and Scott Jackson went close as Westfields made a strong start.
But the home side had to wait until the 24th minute to take the lead when Richard Kear sent Carl Morgan away on the right to deliver a cross which veteran Sam Bowen headed home brilliantly at the far post.
A superb save by Matt Gwynne from a Chris Lewis shot prevented an equaliser but the striker fired home eight minutes before the interval to square matters.
But Fields came storming back and regained the lead four minutes later when Kear beat two players in the area before scoring with a low shot.
And the home side took firm control on the stroke of half-time when Phil Glover outjumped the visiting defence to head in a Morgan corner.
Westfields played some good, passing football in the second period with Kear and Morgan going close.
But it took a fine save from Gwynne to deny Luke Taylor while Glover showed his defensive skills with a saving tackle on Lewis as the Hereford side held on for the points which cement their second place in the table.
