Westfields 6 Cadbury Athletic 0 WESTFIELDS found Cadbury's soft centre when they progressed comfortably in the FA Vase.

Three goals in each half enabled the city side to earn a further home tie in the next stage against West Midlands League Premier Division side Dudley Town.

An early goal from man-of-the-match Anthony Robbins, headed in from a Joel Edwards cross, gave Fields a dream start and they moved further ahead when Carl Morgan lashed home an Aidan Thomas cross.

Good work by Craig Jones set up a third for Daryl Addis on the half-hour.

An Addis shot from Morgan's cross deflected home off a defender to extend the lead in the second period.

And the flaky Cadbury's defence was pierced again by Richard Kear who rammed home the fifth from an acute angle.

A fine Westfields performance was wrapped up in the closing stages when Adam Newbury scored to send the Midland Alliance leaders into the competition's second qualifying round.

Dudley Sports 2 Pegasus Juniors 1 (after extra time) PEGASUS made their exit at the first qualifying round stage of the FA Vase for the third time in successive years.

But they made their West Midlands League Premier Division opponents battle all the way to extra-time before bowing out of the competition.

Dudley took the lead from their first meaningful attack when goalkeeper Liam Brewer missed a freekick and Scott Sumner nipped in to head home.

Pegasus tried hard to hit back with kane Kahaki heading against the bar and Cory Hyde volleying high over.

The city side's perseverance paid off, however, on the stroke of half-time when Hyde headed Brewer's windassisted clearance to Tom Harding who guided the ball home.

After the break, it was Pegasus who continued to dominate with Scott Roberts seeing a goalbound effort deflected wide and Sam Harrison shooting just off target on three occasions.

Six minutes into extra time, Dan Harding lost possession and Matt Hearsey was able to roll a shot past Brewer.
