Coleshill Town 1 Westfields 0.
WESTFIELDS were unlucky not to take at least a point from their trip to Coleshill in the Aspire Midland Alliance.
Coleshill turned the tables on Westfields who had edged them out in the semi-finals of the Polymac Services League Cup.
Coleshill had the better of the early exchanges and should have taken the lead midway through the first half.
Matty Robinson was clean through on goal but the Westfields stopper Jon Pugh made a superb point-blank save.
Westfields should have been awarded a penalty after the break when Tom Harding was fouled but the referee waived aside their appeals.
Coleshill hit the match-winning goal in the 60th minute when Robinson headed past Pugh.
The visitors hit back and Harding’s angled drive was brilliantly saved by the Coleshill keeper.
Westfields brought on substitute Richard Kear and the ex-Cheltenham Town striker cracked a fierce drive high over the bar from 12 yards.
Pugh then kept Westfields in the game with a spectacular save from Robinson.
The Hereford club forced several corners towards the end and Phil Glover headed wide with the goal at his mercy.

GOALS from Paul Casey and Daryl Addis fired Westfields to an impressive league victory last Thursday.
Casey put Westfields ahead in the 31st minute after he cut inside a defender before smashing home a swerving shot.
The Leicestershire club responded and Pugh pulled off a brilliant save to preserve the visitors’ advantage.
Westfields sealed the points when Addis scored their second goal after good work between Terry Green and Sam Harrison.
The Hereford club worked hard for the victory in their maiden visit to Kirby Muxloe’s ground.
l Bromyard Town kept alive their hopes of avoiding the drop from the Premier Division of the West Midlands League with a 1-0 win at Goodrich.
Andrew Millan tapped home to keep Bromyard in second-from-bottom position.
